MIRPURKHAS, March 8: A mother of three daughters was gunned down by an unidentified man in her house at Christian Colony here on Monday night. The killer barged into the house of Ms Nazia (28), wife of Akhtar, and pumped a hail of bullets into her.

Police have detained Akhtar for investigation.

According to neighbours, Akhtar and Nazia had been living separately for the past many months _ the husband at his father’s place and the wife at her mother’s house in Mirpurkhas.

They had married eight years ago.

Ms Rani, Nazia’s mother, lodged a murder case with Town police on Tuesday. Ms Rani has been living in Hyderabad for the past three months.
