BAHAWALPUR, March 5: The Cantonment police on Saturday registered a case under 7-ATA against 52 people for damaging two vehicles of Rescue 1122 service and attacking its staff.

The police said a Rescue 1122 team reached an accident spot at Bhutta Colony (Ahmedpur East Road) to transport injured Sajjad to hospital when his relatives and scores of other people attacked the vehicle which, they protested, was quite late. They also threw bricks at another rescue vehicle.

The mob also pelted the driver with stones and damaged the vans. The police registered a case against the attackers but no arrest was made till last reports came in.

Speaking to about the demand of the applicants, he said the minimum class strength should be 10 students. But the aspirants could immediately be admitted if they paid fees equal to that of 10 students to make the project feasible.
