TOBA TEK SINGH, March 3: A house robbery bid by three women was thwarted by the targeted family here in the Noor Park locality on Thursday.

According to Rescue 1122 personnel, three women took hostage Javed Iqbal's young son Awais when the boy opened the door of his house responding to a knock.

One of the women, pulling a knife on Awais, told him to let her enter the house, while the other two remained outside. As the boy put up resistance, the woman injured him with a knife.

In the meantime, the other family members, noticing something going on unusual at the door, arrived there and sensing gravity of the situation raised an alarm. This made the two women, who were in the street, fled the scene.

However, some locals overpowered the woman trying to enter the house and handed her over to the police. She was later identified as Parveen Akhtar of Shikarpur, Sindh.

A city police official said the arrested woman was being interrogated. DACOITY:
