RAWALPINDI, Feb 25: Two persons were shot dead outside their houses on Friday night, police and victim's family said.

In the first incident, a fruit merchant, Zafar Ali, a resident of Muslimabad, Pirwadhai, was standing outside his house when two motorbike riders appeared on the scene and shot him. On hearing the gunshots, the victim's brother and other family members came out of the house and saw Zafar lying on the street.

Khalil Ahmed, one of the cousins of the victim, said Zafar was standing at the corner of the street when some men shot him. “He neither had any enmity nor was it a robbery attempt,” Khalil said.

The victim was shifted to the District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital where he was pronounced dead. The police said the motive behind the murder was yet to be investigated.

Similarly, another man was shot dead outside his house in Banni police area on Friday night police said.
