SAHIWAL, Feb 20: Police have seized 100,000 kites and arrested three people to preempt Basant plans in the district.

Kite selling and flying is banned across Punjab and the district police have started an operation against kite sellers. Police arrested Ghulam Miran, Ghulam Yasin and Shahid for selling kites.

Also, police seized 384 bottles of liquor from different people during the operation.

PHOTOGRAPHY CONTEST:A street theatre group is organising a photography competition for students of all colleges and universities.

March 11 is the last date for the competitors to submit their photographs for the competition which revolves around multiculturalism in Pakistan. Twenty best winners of the competition, being organised by Punjab Lok Rahs, will later attend a five-day photography workshop conducted by five leading photographers of Pakistan. The workshop will begin in Multan on April 14.
