LAHORE, Feb 18: The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) on Friday claimed to have arrested two drug pushers and recovered a huge quantity of hashish and unlicensed arms from their possession here at the Ravi Toll Plaza.

A press release issued by the ANF Punjab’s joint director Iftikhar Ali said officials were tipped-off about the entry of an organised gang of some criminals carrying narcotics and illegal weapons in a car to Lahore.

A raiding party was constituted to conduct a search of vehicles at the Ravi Toll Plaza that stopped a car. During a search, officials recovered 240kg hashish, 12 rifles with 26 magazines, five pistols and 1,103 bullets from the vehicle.

It said the officials also took two suspects Shahzad Anwar and Raees Khan of Peshawar into custody and registered a case against them.
