LAHORE, Feb 13: Sattokatla police claim to have arrested three members of a gang involved in robberies and seized from them Rs1 million, 30 cell phones, eight computers, six monitors, laptops, other valuables and illegal weapons.

According to a handout issued on Sunday, a police team, led by the Sattokatla SHO, nabbed Abdullah alias Badu and two accomplices Azam and Aqeel from a Lahore locality.

The suspects had confessed to 47 robberies in different cities of Punjab and in Abbotabad. Their fourth accomplice Faisal Shah has already flown abroad.

The suspects said they had shot dead three people, including a security guard, after committing a bank robbery worth Rs5 million in Sargodha a few days ago.

The gangsters would roam on motorcycles and cars in different cities and snatch at gunpoint cash, cell phones and valuables from pedestrians and motorists. They have been handed over to the investigation police for further action.
