LAHORE, Feb 6: Three men on Sunday shot dead a property dealer in Ghaziabad, police said.

The police claimed that Muhammad Khalil, a resident of Ashfaq Chowk locality, had differences with Amanat Ali and his friends over a disputed plot. On Sunday, the rivals opened fire on Khalil and left him injured. He was taken to hospital where doctors pronounced him dead.

Quoting the deceased’s family, the police said he was allegedly shot at and killed by Amanat and his two accomplices over a plot dispute.

The police shifted the body to the city morgue for autopsy and registered a case against the assailants. They claimed to have arrested one of the suspects.

Also, a 23-year-old youth was shot dead allegedly by two motorcyclists in Iqbal Town on Sunday.

Reports said Faisal Ali of Kamran Block along with his elder brother Junaid Ali was on his way on a motorbike when two men riding a motorcycle stopped them near Karim Block and opened indiscriminate fire on them.

Quoting Junaid the police said the assailants targeted Faisal who received two bullet injuries in the head and succumbed to his wounds on the spot. The accused managed their escape.

Police said the family claimed to have no enmity. They termed the murder mysterious and ruled out possibility of robbery-murder as evident from the statement of the deceased’s brother.

The police have shifted the body for autopsy and registered a murder case on the complaint of Junaid.

accident: A Pakistan Railway employee was run over and killed by a train at Dharampura crossing on Sunday.

The police said 50-year-old Waheed was crossing the track when the incident took place.

Quoting Abdul Hameed the police said his mentally challenged brother had been under treatment for the last six months or so.

On Sunday morning, Waheed left his house and some locals informed the family about his death.

The police handed over body to the family without autopsy.
