RAWALPINDI, Jan 9: An office located in Ganjmandi was looted by three robbers on Sunday, police said.

Waqar Abbasi, owner of the Waqar Traders, told the police that he was doing routine work when three persons entered his office and pulled out their guns. They held the staff hostage and forced them to hand over cash and their cellphones. He said the gunmen snatched Rs263,000 from him and escaped after locking the staff members inside the office.

In another incident, a shopkeeper was robbed of Rs150,000 and a laptop by three gunmen in Banni area.

Omer Javaid, in his complaint, said he was sitting in his shop when three persons entered and pulled out their pistols.

In another incident, four armed men forced their way into the house of Syed Javaid in Chaklala Scheme III in broad daylight and held the family at gunpoint.

Syed Javaid said the robbers tied all the inmates and searched the house and looted Rs57,000, prize bonds valuing Rs82,000, gold ornaments weighing 20 tolas, 12 wrist watches and one LCD television and escaped after locking the inmates in a room. — Staff Reporter
