QUETTA, Dec 27: An engineer working for the Balochistan Irrigation Department was kidnapped in the Jaffarabad district late on Sunday night.
Police sources said that Nanak Ram Rajput, posted in the Jhal Magsi district, was going to his village Rojhan from Dear Allahyar in his car when gunmen intercepted him near the bypass and kidnapped him.
They also drove away his car.Jaffarabad District Police Officer Javed Gharsheen said efforts were being made to ensure safe return of Mr Rajput.
Sources in Mr Rajput’s family said that no one had contacted them for ransom.
