ISLAMABAD, Dec 13: A lawyer was booked for attacking and injuring an inspector of the education ministry’s monitoring cell, police said on Monday. Malik Ibrar Waheed told Bhara Kahu police that the lawyer thrashed him after an argument over vacating a seat in a passenger van on December 8.

Waheed said the lawyer, with the help of another man, started beating him. He said the lawyer pulled out a knife and attacked him, injured his hands.

The victims said when he asked the driver to take the wagon to police station the lawyer and his companion forced him to continue driving.

He said he was thrown out of the wagon. The police have registered a case against the lawyer, who also wanted to register a counter case, but his request was turned down.
