GUJRANWALA, Dec 11: Six policemen, including two ASIs, were dismissed on Saturday by RPO Tariq Masood Yasin for negligence in Sialkot lynching case of two brothers.

Reports said Nakapura ASIs Riaz Tariq and Muhammad Sarfraz besides constables Yasir, Nawaz, Saleem and driver Abdul Razzaq were absent from duty on the day of the incident and they did not turn up despite receiving information.

The DPO conducted an inquiry against them after issuing them show-cause notices. It was stated that lives of Mughees Butt and Muneeb Butt could be saved if these police officials reached the spot.
