ISLAMABAD, Dec 6: A body of a man declared proclaimed offender in a murder case was found in the capital’s suburbs on Monday, police said. Nasim Bibi, wife of Jhanzaib Khan, 50, a native of Abbottabad district, suspected that the rivals’ family was behind the killing. She told police that the rivals have got registered a murder case against her husband. Six months back, she said, Khan left Abbottabad to avoid arrest.

Some passersby spotted the body in the wooded area of Tarli.

Police said the murdered man was subjected to torture and shot eight to 10 times. But police believed he was murdered somewhere else and the body was dumped here to hide it. “The body was found on a properly spread bed-sheet,” a policeman said, adding that a notebook found from the victim’s pocket led to his family.

In another incident a pedestrian was killed after being hit by a speeding passenger vehicle at Aabpara. Rozin Bibi, 40, a resident of Bhara Kahu, was crossing the road when a wagon hit her. — Staff Reporter
