TAXILA, Dec 4: Robbers have abducted wife of a local trader to get their group member, admitted in hospital under police custody, released.

The sources said that a gang of robbers made their way in the house of of Malik Mohammad Azam in Wah Cantt and looted cash and gold ornaments. Azam opened fire on the robbers while they were fleeing, injuring one of them.

Later he overpowered the injured and handed him over to the police, who took him to the THQ hospital Taxila from where he was shifted to district headquarters hospital Rawalpindi due to his critical condition. Sources said that on Friday evening the gang abducted the wife of the trader. — Reporter
