Minor boy strangled

LAYYAH, Nov 29: A six-year-old boy was strangled after rape at Chak 83-ML on Monday in Karor Lal Esan police precincts, some 45km from here.

Reports said Usman was playing near his house when Shahzad, 20, took him to a garden, allegedly raped him and later strangled him.

The district officer-revenue on Monday seized Red Crescent Society's relief goods for flood victims during a raid on a house in the city.

DOR Zaffar Abbas Bhatti along with the area magistrate and the police raided the house of Abbas Dasti near Angra bridge. The team broke open lock of the house and recovered tents, flours bags of 25kg each, rice bags of 20kg each, vegetable oil tins of five litre each, sugar, pulses, plastic sheets and other items.
