ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Rehman Malik on Sunday said that if the international community cannot give funds then it should not keep telling Pakistan to "do more" either.

Speaking at the Pakistan Development Forum, Malik said that in the fight against terrorism, Pakistan has been spending Rs.140 billion annually. He said that Pakistan was capable of fighting terrorism but needed funds to do so.

Malik said that in order for peace to prevail in the world, it was crucial for Pakistan and Afghanistan to be at peace too.

He said that the international community must cooperate with Pakistan not just to restore peace in Pakistan but to ensure global peace.
