Two killed; missing man found dead

ISLAMABAD, Feb 15: A man missing for the last 17 days was found dead at Chirah while two persons died in different incidents on Sunday, police said on Sunday.
Mohammad Masood, 43, went to Chirah from Khana in a Suzuki pickup on January 29 but did not return.
On Sunday, the police were informed by some passersby about the presence of the body in a nullah. The police shifted the body to hospital for legal process.
The body was decomposed and seemed to be over a week old. The police said the victim used to work in Saudi Arabia from where he had returned two and-a-half months ago. He owned two passenger wagons plying in the twin cities.
A pedestrian was killed in a traffic accident on Sunday. Ghulam Abbas, 67, a native of Kohat, was hit by a speeding Pajero while crossing Islamabad Highway near Khana Bridge.
The injured was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead. The driver of the vehicle has been arrested.
Meanwhile, a security guard was found dead at a house on Nazimuddin Road. The police said Tariq Mehmood slept last night but did not wake up in the morning.
He was taken to hospital where doctors pronounced him dead before arrival.
