LAKKI MARWAT, Feb 15: Militants attacked a police post in the hilly area of Darra Pezu on Saturday night, sources said.

Sources said that four to five militants fired a rocket at and opened firing on Wanda Banochi police post on Bannu-D.I. Khan road in the limits of Haibat Ali Khan police station. The rocket fell near the post and caused no damage, they added.The security personnel at the post retaliated and the attackers fled.

Earlier, a policeman had been killed and three others injured when unidentified gunmen attacked a police mobile van of Haibat Ali Khan police station.

ARRESTED: Dadiwala police launched a crack down against the proclaimed offenders and arrested three of them.

Police carried out surprise raids on the hideouts of anti-social elements in Shaikh Mansoor and Sarkati Michenkhel areas on the directive of district police officer.
