Talking to journalists at the press club, she said that she and her family respected Makhdoom Saheb and “everyone has the right to express his or her views in a democratic party”.

She expressed satisfaction over law and order situation and said efforts were being made to revive Special Industrial Zone in Nawabshah. She had met with industrialists and officials concerned and resumption of PIA flights to and from Nawabshah was a step in this direction, she said.

She said that the inflation had become a global problem and prices of food and fuel had been on the rise in international market. The problem could be brought under control by providing jobs to the unemployed youth, she stressed.

She said that at least 5,000 posts would be filled in teaching and non-teaching cadre of education department in Nawabshah and more than 1,000 jobless youths would soon get offer orders for jobs in grade1-4 in various government departments.

She advised the jobless youth to apply for the advertised posts and the follow the process. The jobs would be given on merit and in a transparent manner, she claimed.

She said that Nawabshah would get Rs700 million for roads, dispensaries, upgradation of sports stadium, beautification of towns and shifting of jail outside the city.

She said that the newly-appointed teachers would be asked to attend master training programme because it would be beneficial for them in learning teaching methods.

Earlier, Ms Talpur promised to a group of protesters who had passed an IBA-held test for teachers and were holding a demonstration outside the press club that the government could not adjust candidates having less than 60 per cent marks due to an agreement with the World Bank.

However, they would be provided a chance to appear in test for filling more than 1,900 teachers’ posts in the Education Department, which would be advertised within 15 days.
