Woman killed by brother

LAHORE, Dec 20: A young woman was strangulated allegedly by her brother in Chuhng on Saturday.

Police said Rukhsana, 20, and the accused had an argument over an ‘unknown’ issue. The body was shifted for autopsy.

Accidents: A Railway employee was killed after he was hit by a car at Harbanspura Mor on Saturday.

Amanat, 45, of Natthoki village was going to his office when a speeding car first hit his bicycle and then rammed into a tree. Amanat died instantly, while the car driver sustained minor injury and managed to escape.

In another incident which took place near Yadgar Chowk, a man and a woman suffered injuries during a collision between a motorcycle and an auto-rickshaw.

ROBBERY: Robbers looted cash, jewellery and cell phones worth Rs250,000 from a house in Ghaziabad on Saturday.

Police said four robbers barged into the house of Muhammad Azam and looted Rs68,600, seven tolas of gold ornaments and three cell phones.

Two robbers stopped Jamshaid Zafar in City Raiwind and snatched Rs3,100, a cell phone and his motorcycle.

Muhammad Aslam and Saeed Noor were deprived of their motorcycles in different incidents in Gulshan-i-Ravi. — Staff Reporter
