MIRPURKHAS, Dec 20: Kot Ghulam Mohammad police on Saturday arrested an exorcist and his two accomplices, in double murder case for torturing two women to death in Qadir Bux Behrani village.

Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani and Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah are reported to have taken notice of the news and called for a report from police.

They have ordered the arrest of accused.

Police raided the village and other places, apprehending five suspects, Niaz Hussain Behrani, Aijaz Ali Behrani, Abdul Kareem Behrani, Basheer alias Mir Khan, an army sepoy, and ASI of Samaro police station Khadim Hussain Behrani.

Three - Kareem Behrani, Mir Khan and the ASI, were produced by police in the court of civil judge and judicial magistrate-I, who remanded them in police custody for six days.

According to the Kot Ghulam Mohammad SHO, an application was submitted for exhumation of bodies of Fatima, 47, widow of Ghulam Nabi Behrani, and Sakina, wife of Basheer alias Mir Khan. He said that police guards are deployed at the graves of two women.

No clue of injured Nazeeran, wife of Mureed Behrani, was found, he said.

The two women and Nazeera wife of Mureed Behrani were tortured with a hot iron rod, sticks and axes on the pretext of exorcism by a fake Pir on Dec 14. Later their bodies were buried in a graveyard near village Qadir Bux Behrani.

The complainant, Nabi Bux Behrani said that accused had taken body of deceased Ms Fatima in a bullock cart to Dr Kelash in Degan Rasti while Nazeera remained under treatment of Dr Kelash, who later went missing.
