Crushing takes off gradually

MIRPURKHAS, Nov 12: Two out of five sugar mills in the district fired their boilers and issued indents to cane growers.

According to sources, Al-Abbas and Mirpurkhas sugar mills decided to start cane crushing from 18th of this month, while Tharparkar sugar mills began operations on the 3rd which now were in full swing.

However, the remaining two, Digri and Najma sugar mills were yet to start their boilers for they had decided to start late.
