Two container ships were accommodated berths during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Monday.

Meanwhile, three more ships with containers and diesel oil also arrived at the outer anchorage.

Nine ships, Anvil Point, Maersk Novazzano, Jima Kos-T, Van Coure, Nan Hai, Transport, Dolphina, Vema Ocean and R.S.Z Joy, were busy in loading/offloading containers, rice, cement, wheat, palm oil, furnace oil and iron ore. A cargo volume of 83,092 tons comprising 73,444 tons of import and 9,648 tons of export tonnage was handled.
