THE HAGUE, Sept 22: The Netherlands said it would introduce a three-month ban on short-selling in financial shares.

A spokeswoman for the Dutch Authority for the Financial Mark-ets said the decision would affect shares in banking and insurance companies Fortis, ING bank and Aegon.—AFP
