KARACHI, Sept 22: Ten ships carrying chemicals and to load molasses and cement are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Tuesday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was fairly active where a dozen ships, Wan Hai-311, As Mars, Sima Pride, Cap Gabriel with containers, Scan Oceanic, Ocean Project with general cargo, Al-Soor-2, Quetta and Bengal Orchid, oil tankers, Adriatic Arrow to load cement and Nepheli to unload coal were berthed after the departure of over a dozen vessels during the last two days.

The departing ships were led by Empress Phoenix, King Brian, Kota Hapas, Ninos, Chemway Arrow, Blida, Deja Bhum, Global Prosperity, Gulf Tiger, Fanja, Bengal Orchid and Valbella.

While Mars, Wan Hai-311, Scan Oceanic, Mol Ability, Al-Soor-2, Adriatic Arrow, Kang Hing and Force Ranger are due to sail out on Tuesday.

A total tonnage of 283,000 tons comprising 68,805 tons of export cargo and 214,000 tons of import tonnage was handled.

The following ships are due on Tuesday: Champion to load 28,000 tons of molasses, Johar with 65,000 tons of crude oil, North Pole to load ethanol, after unloading chemicals, APL Yokohama, Cap Colorado, Oel Transworld, Hamony, Soon Fu with containers, Pacific Arrow and Super Star-3 to load 10,000 and 12,000 tons of cement.
