KARACHI, Sept 20: Hadi Youth have reached the final of the Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) Six-a-side Under-18 Ramazan Floodlight Football Tournament while Sixteen Stars reached the final of the side event, the Hadi Saleem Tabani Memorial Football Tournament for Clubs, underway here at Gulberg Town’s T-Ground on Friday night.

The first semi-final of the main event saw Hadi Youth beating Salim Patli Youth 2-1.

The first goal was scored by Hadi’s striker Wahaj Siddiqui through a well-timed pass from his skipper Amil Tabani in the 16th minute. But parity was restored soon after by Salim Patli’s midfielder Aqueel in the 20th minute, just moments before the halftime whistle.

This second session saw the scoring of the winning goal when skipper Anil again created an opportunity, this time for his midfielder Waleed, which he converted in the 33rd minute.

Meanwhile, all counter attacks carried out by Salim Patli Youth were ably thwarted by Hadi’s goalkeeper Mohammad Omar.

Hadi Youth will face the winner of the Nasir Ismail Youth and Aga Khan Gymkhana Youth encounter in the final.

In the club tournament’s first semi-final, Sixteen Stars edged past Karachi Flames 1-0. The only goal and match decider happened in the 40th minute when Sixteem Stars’ striker Mohammad Nasim managed to score for his side in order to take them to the final.
