Suspected polio case in Thull

JACOBABAD, Sept 20: A polio case was detected by an anti-polio vaccination team at Attai Banglani village in UC Toj of taluka Thul on Saturday.

The case was detected by the team during a vaccination campaign in the village. Medical Superintendent of Thul Dr Amanullah Khoso said that blood sample of 14-month-old Kamran, son of Manzoor Ali, had been sent to Islamabad for confirmation.

EDO Health Dr Ghulam Mohammad Channo confirmed that Kamran was a victim of polio. Kamran’s right arm and right leg have been paralysed.

The child’s father said that his son was administered anti-polio drops during previous campaigns.
