Peace Day

By Our Correspondent

MITHI, Sept 20: Activists of social organisations here on Saturday took out a peace rally to mark International Peace Day.

The participants of the rally were holding placards inscribed “attacks by Americans in Pakistan should be stopped”, “stop genocide of innocent citizens”, “Peace Zindabad” and “Stop Terrorism”.

Chairman of Marooara Coordination Council Obhayo Junejo said any kind of terrorism in Pakistan by external powers would never be tolerated.

He deplored the rising incidents of kidnapping for ransom. He said three Hindu traders -- Tahal Kumar, Vikram Kumar kidnapped near Naokot two months ago and Khushhal Das Malhi of Mithi kidnapped five days — were still missing.
