KARACHI, Sept 18: Three ships carrying containers, palm oil and diesel oil were accommodated berths during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Thursday.

Meanwhile, two more ships with containers and palm oil also arrived at the outer anchorage.

Eight ships, ACX Jasmine, Himalia, Nordina-G, AI-Qawiyyu, Med Salvador, New Seta Kaze, Marian and Karolina, were busy in loading and unloading containers, cement, wheat, rapeseeds, palm oil, diesel oil and iron ore.

A cargo volume of 83,758 tons comprising 75,084 tons of import and 8,674 tons of export tonnage was handled.

Himalia, Chemstar Brave and ACX Jasmine sailed out while Marian and Med Salvador were expected to depart.
