Oil prices up

LONDON, Sept 17: Oil prices rose on Wednesday but trimmed earlier gains as traders focussed on weak US crude inventories and a fresh outbreak of violence in key producer Nigeria.

London’s Brent North Sea crude for delivery in November won 54 cents to $89.76 per barrel after earlier reaching as high as $93.21.

New York’s main contract, light sweet crude for October delivery, gained $1.06 to $92.21, after briefly touching $95.—AFP
