HYDERABAD: Body formed to end row at govt farm

HYDERABAD, Sept 12: The Sindh Seed Corporation authorities have constituted a committee to settle a dispute between the corporation and peasants of the corporation farm in Setharja.

Clashes had taken place over between the corporation officials and peasants over wheat crop which had created a law and order situation at the farm.

SSC Managing Director Gul Hassan Saand during a visit to the farm on Friday heard the point of view of the peasants and corporation officials and constituted the committee, comprising two representatives of peasants and two officials of the corporation.

He directed the committee members to submit recommendations in a week and assured the haris that their genuine problems would be solved.

The committee will also probe into financial claims of the haris against the corporation and the corporation’s dues against the peasants.
