KARACHI, Sept 5: The Kara-chi Building Control Authority (KBCA) has declared five projects illegal and warned against sales/purchase of property in these projects.

A KBCA release said on Friday that the “Areesha City” project in Gadap Town was being executed without the mandatory NOC, adding that a show-cause notice to the builders and developers concerned had already been issued with directives to stop publicity, sale and purchase of the relevant properties forthwith.

The builders’ licence could be cancelled and the site office sealed off/demolished if the directives were not complied with, the KBCA release said.

In a separate release, the KBCA has declared four other projects illegal and advised people not to strike any deal with the parties concerned.

The projects are being executed on plot number 97, Block 3, CP & Berar Cooperative Housing Society; plot number 146, Block 3, Bihar Muslim Cooperative Housing Society; plot number SC-08, Block 4 and 5, Chandni Chowk and plot number B-219, Adamji Nagar, Kathiawar Society.

Meanwhile, KBCA demolition squads razed five shops built illegally on plot number 44/26, B-I Area, Liaquatabad, and some illegal structures raised on plot number SC-2, Scheme 24, Gulshan-i-Iqbal.

The operations were carried out under the supervision of senior KBCA officials escorted by police personnel.—PPI
