KARACHI, Aug 28: Nine ships carrying wheat, crude oil and to load clinker are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Friday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side where seven ships, Don Franc Bulic with coal, Nova Sky, Ro-Ro, Neptun, oil tankers, Mir Damad, APL Jebel Ali, APL Shenzhen and Kot Express with containers were berthed.

Sailing was also active as six ships, Hanjin Qingdao, Kapitan Byankin, Bengal Orchid, Gingko, Noor-e-Madina and Nova Sky departed, while APL Shenzhen, Kota Ekspres, Soon Fu, Sea Princes, Lalazar, Don Franc Bulic, Johar, Sea Bloom and Neptun are due to sail out on Friday.

A total tonnage of 141,000 tons comprising 52,998 tons of export cargo and 88,318 tons of import tonnage was handled on Thursday.

The following ships are due on Friday: Grigoroussa-1, with crude oil, Rhonebog, Eric G. Gibson, Conti Valencia, Indian Express, New Delhi Express with containers, Adiratic Arrow and Erria Vietnam with general cargo and Star Kappa with wheat.
