KARACHI, Aug 27: Four ships scheduled to load/offload containers, cement, wheat, chemicals and iron ore were accommodated berths during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Wednesday.Meanwhile, three more ships to load/offload cement, containers and palm oil also arrived at the outer anchorage.

Eight ships, Maersk Danang, Christina, Bernice, ST Mark, Sinar Agra, Sky Ace-I, AI-Soar-II and Iran Hamzeh, were busy in loading and unloading containers, cement, phosphoric acid, paraxylene, palm oil, diesel oil and iron ore.

A cargo volume of 83,328 tons comprising 74,380 tons of import and 8,948 tons of export tonnage was handled.

Sky Ace-I, AI-Soor-II, Sinar Agra and Maersk Danang sailed out.
