KARACHI, Aug 25: Four ships carrying containers, carbon oil and project cargo were accommodated berths on Sunday, said a PQA press release on Monday.

Meanwhile, three more ships with containers, chemicals and coke also arrived at the outer anchorage.

Eight ships, Maersk Novazzano, Miyunhe, Christina, Frauke, Mare Atlantic, Neptune, Atlantia and Vanguard Viking-I, were busy in loading and unloading containers, cement, chemicals, project cargo, carbon oil, palm oil, and furnace oil.

A cargo volume of 93,450 metric tons comprising 87,006 tons of import and 6,444 tons of export tonnage was handled.

Maersk Novazzano, Miyunhe, Provider, Frauke and Atlantia sailed out while Vanguard Viking-I was due to leave the port.
