KARACHI: Need to set up tribunal camp offices underlined

KARACHI, Aug 21: Sindh Minister for Law Mohammed Ayaz Soomro has called for expeditious disposal of government employees’ cases in order to ensure an early restoration of their constitutional and legal rights.

The minister held a meeting with the Chairman of the Sindh Services Tribunal (SST), Justice (retd) Ghulam Nabi Soomro, and a member, Qazi Qamruddin, and told them said that the PPP-led government in the province was pursuing a policy of providing cheap and easy justice to the masses so that the excesses committed over the past 12 years against them could be compensated.

He also directed them to set up the tribunal’s camps in Hyderabad, Nawabshah, Sukkur, Mirpurkhas and Larkana, twice a month so that the government functionaries in the litigations could attend the hearing of their cases within their respective areas of residence.

The minister said that this would also be convenient for the lawyers associated with the litigation process.—APP
