ISLAMBAD, Aug 20: The government on Wednesday ‘instructed’ newspapers and electronic media not to publish or broadcast Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani’s statements without getting them verified from his press secretary.

An official handout said that the prime minister had issued instructions that any statement or news related to him should not be broadcast or published by any TV channel, newspaper and news agency unless it was issued by the Press Secretary to the Prime Minister, Mr Zahid Bashir, or confirmed by him.
