MIRPURKHAS: HSC results of Mirpurkhas board announced

MIRPURKHAS, Aug 20: The controller of examinations of Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Mirpurkhas has announced the results of annual examinations 2008 of Higher Secondary Certificate part-II (class XII) of pre-medical and pre-engineering groups on Wednesday.

According to the notification, in pre-engineering group, Saad, son of Dr Ziaul Baqi Ansari, seat No.22904 of SZABIST College Mirpurkhas secured first position with 953 marks.

Nimra Mariam, daughter of Mohammad Yousuf, seat No.24152 of Government Girls Degree College Sanghar, obtained second position with 939 marks; Faisal Zia, son of Badshah Khan Khattak, seat No.24350 of Cadet College Sanghar stood third with 935 marks.

Total 3,740 candidates were enrolled. Of them 3,485 appeared in the examination. 101 candidates passed in grade A-1; 616 in grade A; 977 candidates in grade B; 900 in grade C; and 223 candidates passed in grade D.

In the pre-medical group, Bisma Bhurt, daughter of Abdul Rasool Bhurt, seat No.33620 of Government Higher Secondary School Sarhari district Sanghar, secured first position with 957 marks; Unsa Farooque, daughter of Umer Farooque Khanzada, seat No.33617 of Government Higher Secondary School Sarhari district Sanghar obtained second position with 941 marks; Anam, daughter of Zaheer Ahmed Arain, seat No.28579 of Government girls’ College Tando Jan Mohammad secured third position by obtaining 939 marks.

Total 6,544 candidates were enrolled, from which 5,923 appeared in exams.

Total 5,084 candidates were declared pass. 180 candidates passed in grade A-1; 1063 in grade A; 1918 in grade

B; 1760 in grade C; and 158 candidates passed in grade

D. The overall percentage of successful candidates was 85.83.
