KARACHI: Gorakh Hills uplift body established

KARACHI, Aug 20: The provincial government has decided to set up a museum of international standards to promote the cultural heritage of Sindh, Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah said during a briefing given to him on the department of culture at the CM’s House on Wednesday. The briefing was given by Sindh Minister for Culture Sassui Palijo and Secretary Shams Jafrani.

The chief minister directed the officials concerned to identify a suitable government building for the museum.

Mr Shah also issued directives for chalking out a comprehensive scheme for taking proper care of antiquities and heritage sites and resolving the problems being faced by all figures associated with Sindh culture and heritage.

He announced setting up of the “Gorakh Hills Development Authority” and reactivation of the Sachal Academy, Khairpur, and the Sindh Tourism Development Board.
