Karachi market rates


KARACHI, Aug 20: The following were Wednesday commodity market rates in rupees.

Oilseeds

RAPESEED (per 40 kg): Dadulane 1,300 to 1,350; Mirpurlane 1,550 to 1,600; Nawabshah 1,675 to 1,700; Castor Seed (Sindh) 900 to 950.

EDIBLE OILS (per 40 kg): Coconut oil 7,500 to 8,500; Rapeseed and Mustard oil 4,800 to 5,200; Ghee Vanaspati (per 16 kg) 1,920 to 2,000.

Cereals

BARELY (per 100 kg): 1,450 to 1,600; Bajra 1,900 to 2,300; Maize 1,750 to 1,880; Jowar 1,500 to 1,600; Wheat Mexi Pak 2,200 to 2,300; Maida (80 kg) 2,200 to 2,300; Suji 2,200 to 2,300; Atta 2,000 to 2,400.

RICE (per 100 kg): Basmati Karnel 6,500 to 7,500; 386 Basmati 5,000 to 5,500; Basmati 385 Saila 4,500 to 5,000; Basmati Broken 3,500 to 4,500; Basmati Super 6,500 to 7,500; Irri-6 Sindh 3,800 to 4,500; Irri-9 Sindh 4,400 to 4,800.

Pulses

WHOLE (per 100 kg): Mash (Imported) 5,200 to 5,500; Masur (Imported) 8,500 to 9,500; Moong (Punjab) 3,800 to 4,500; Gram Yellow 3,800 to 4,400; Gram White (Kabli) 5,600 to 6,200; Gram Black 4,800 to 5,200; Arhar 5,400 to 5,800; Gram 4,600 to 5,000.

WASHED (per 40 kg): Mash 2,300 to 2,500; Moong 1,800 to 2,000; Masoor 4,000 to 4,200; Arhar 2,800 to 3,000; Gram (100 kg) 5,500 to 5,800.

Poultry

EGGS: Rs1,590 to Rs1,595 per crate of 30 dozens, Broiler (Live): Rs96 per kilo; Culled Bird (Live): Rs58 per kilo.

The following are the maximum retail rates for Thursday:

EGGS: Rs56 per dozen,
