KARACHI, Aug 20: Two ships carrying containers and crude oil were accommodated berths during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, five more ships with containers and chemicals also arrived at the outer anchorage.

Six ships, Maersk Tirana, Christina, Leopard-B, Provider, Prim Pride and Hellenic Horizon, were busy in loading/unloading containers, cement, wheat, crude oil and iron ore.

A cargo volume of 74,502 metric tons comprising 62,635 tons of import and 11,867 tons of export tonnage was handled.

Sailing was slow as only Maersk Tirana left the port.
