KARACHI, Aug 20: Four ships carrying base oil and containers are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Thursday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was brisk where six ships, APL Shezhen, Cape Negro, Mare Threcium to unload and load containers, Ocala to offload coal, Valiant unload and load containers and Al-Salam-2 to offload high-speed diesel, were berthed after the departure of as many.

The departing ships were led by Seven Seas Aurora, Artimis, Sinar Bintan, Keoyoung Prince and D.P. Genoa, while Cape Negro, Atlantia, Armis, Fu Ning Hai, Valiant, Al-Salam-2, Mare Threcium, Oel Transworld are due to sail out on Thursday.

A total tonnage of 137,000 tons comprising 24,693 tons comprising 24,693 tons of export cargo and 113,000 tons of import cargo was handled on Wednesday.

The following ships are due on Thursday: Sunrise Acacia with base oil, Calvin P. Titus, Rhoneborg with containers and Iron Butterfly with project cargo.
