KHAIRPUR: Two women, man killed

KHAIRPUR, Aug 18: Two women and a man were killed in the name of honour in two separate incidents on Monday.

One Ali Gul Narejo shot dead his mother Meeran and a man Inayat Narejo alias Bhai Khan in Comrade Narejo village in the jurisdiction of Landhyoon police station on Monday.

The accused suspected his mother had illicit relations with Bhai Khan. After committing the murder, Ali Gul Narejo escaped. The bodies were handed over to relatives after post-mortem at the taluka hospital Gambat.

In the other incident, one Niaz Ujjan gunned down his wife Wasandi in Jumo Ujjan village in the jurisdiction of Abdul Rehman Unnar police station on Monday. The body was handed over to relatives after post-mortem.

No case was lodged till the filing of this report.

SUSPENDED: Khairpur DPO Pir Mohammad Shah suspended SHO of Khenwari Maqsood-u-Raza police station for negligence in kidnapping case of three traders of Hindu community namely Nathu Mal, Vicky Kumar and Kundan Lal.

The DPO visited Nara taluka and met with the relatives of the traders and got details regarding kidnapping of the three traders. The DPO assured them of recovery of the kidnapped traders and in this regard also constituted a police party headed by inspector Javed Hussain Shah.
