MARDAN, Aug 8: Unidentified miscreants blew up four CDs shops at Chato Chowk Hoti at midnight on Thursday.

The shops were completely destroyed by locally made bombs. Two shops belonged to Kamran Khan while the others were owned by Arif Khan and Tariq Khan. The unidentified miscreants had bombed these shops in the past as well.

The owners told this correspondent that they had no other way to earn their living and the miscreants were destroying their only source of income time and again.

“We have lost more than Rs400,000 and now we will not be able to restart our business in the same locality,” a shopkeeper said.

It may be added that most of the CD shops in the district were continuously targeted by militants and the local Taliban. —Correspondent
