KARACHI, Aug 7: Five ships scheduled to load/offload containers, cement, chemicals and diesel oil were accommodated berths during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Thursday.

Nine ships, ACX Jasmine, Maersk Damietta, QSM Dubai, Leopard-B, Alexi-1, Qemstar, Jin Yi, Royal Jasper and Long Fin, were busy in loading and unloading containers, cement, chemicals, Iron ore, palm oil and diesel oil.

A cargo volume of 98,981 metric tons comprising 80,011 tons of import and 19,970 tons of export tonnage was handled.

Ocean Beauty, Royal Jasper, Sea Lion and ACX Jasmine sailed out while Qemstar, Maersk Damietta and Long Fin were due to depart.
