KARACHI, Aug 4: Seven ships carrying DAP fertiliser, general cargo and containers are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Tuesday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was active where six ships, Devi Glory, to load clinker, Global Progress, Y.M. Inception and Itha Bhum to unload and load containers and Prem Divya and Chemroad Haya, both tankers, were berthed.

Sailing was also active as eight ships, Eric G. Gibson, Y.M. Improvement, Cap Akritas, Global Progress, Anette Scan, Johar, Sealo-1 and Bunga Melati-6 departed, while Y.M. Inception, Itha Bhum, Pearl of Sharjah, Gulf Horizon, Chemroad Haya, Sea Princess, Oel Transworld, Empress Phoneix, Nordina-G and CEC Cristobal are due to sail out on Tuesday.

A total tonnage of 254,000 tons comprising 97,200 tons of export cargo including 17,332, 8,100 and 3,187 tons of cement, clinker and rice, respectively, and 157,000 tons of import tonnage was handled during the last two days.

The following ships are due on Tuesday: City of Yamen, APL Chicago with containers, Patriach, with DAP fertiliser, Crystal Seas with hazardous cargo, BBC, Brazil, Autaradus and Le Yi with general cargo.
