KARACHI, Aug 2: Four ships including two cement loaders are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Sunday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was fairly active where 10 ships including Sea Princes to load cement, Bunga Melati-6 to offload palm oil, Gulf Horizon to load naphtha, Pearl of Sharjah, to unload coal, Annette Scan, Banglar Maya to unload and load general cargo, Harmony, Cap Akritas, Y.M. Improvement and Eric G. Gibson to unload and load containers were berthed.

Sailing was also active as seven ships, Golden Oceania, Smarty, Tower Bridge, Harmony, Tenth Ocean, Lucky Arrow and Hyundai Emperor departed on Saturday, while Y.M. Improvement, Gulf Horizon, Sargodha, Pearl of Sharjah and Global Progress are due to sail out on Sunday.

A total tonnage of 66,487 tons comprising 29,089 tons of export cargo including 2,143 tons of rice and 6,986 tons of cement and 37,398 tons of import tonnage was handled on Saturday.

The following ships are due on Sunday: Iran Baghaei, Red Sea Spirit to load 14,500 and 16,500 tons of cement, respectively, Itha Bhum and Soon Fu with containers.

The following vessels are due on Monday: Al-Farabi to load molasses, Sinar Agra, Bengal Orchid with chemicals, Empress Phoenix, Mol Admiration, Kota Hapas, Merkir Bridge and City of Yemen with containers.
