SHEIKHUPURA, Aug 1: The Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) registered cases against dozens of owners of newly-built and under-construction plazas in the city for violating rules and regulations of the Building Department here on Friday.

The ACE technical assistant director, Lahore region, visited different places in the city and saw dozens of commercial buildings being built against laws.

Even though the Tehsil Municipal Administration had issued notices to the owners in past, they hardly bothered to stop the construction.

People wrote to the ACE which registered cases against violators -- Abdul Hamid, Aftab Aslam, Amir Afzaal, Mukhdoom Malik, Sajid Yasmin, Dr Baber Naeem and Rana Kamran Hamid.
