KARACHI: Schools reopen today

KARACHI, July 31: Schools across the province will reopen on August 1 after two-month summer vacations.

This was announced by the director of private schools and institutions, education department, Sindh, Mansoob Hussain Siddiqui, while talking to newsmen here on Thursday.

He, however, noted that most of the private schools would reopen on Monday since they observed Saturdays and Sundays as weekly holidays.

He said that the government had decided to curtail the duration of summer vacations by 15 days. As such, he added, the education department had notified that the private schools would also reopen on August 1.
