Rs66bn revenue collected in July

ISLAMABAD, July 31: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) collected Rs66 billion during the first month (July) of the current fiscal year against the target of Rs64.4 billion.

Provisional figures released here on Thursday showed that the revenue collection registered an increase of 29.7 per cent over the same month last year.

An official announcement said that the performance of the FBR had been broad based as all the four taxes recorded double digit growth.

Collection of direct taxes stood at Rs17.3 billion, sales tax at Rs31.5 billion, FED at Rs6.7 billion and customs duty at Rs10.5 billion during the month under review.
